Auto Repair in Buda & Kyle

Built on honesty,
driven by faith.

I find what's actually wrong before anything gets replaced. You see what I found, you approve each job, and I'm the one who does the work.

Fix the problem, not the guess.

Twice now, a customer has come to me after another shop said the car needed a new engine.

"One was an Audi with a stuck oil control valve. About $300, and it ran right again. The other had sat parked for months. It was a boost leak and a few small fixes, about $600."

I don't throw parts at a car and hope. I find the problem first, and I fix what's actually wrong.

What I Work On

Cars and half-ton trucks, foreign or domestic. Most of my work is A/C, brakes, leaks and maintenance.

A/C Systems

ASE certified in A/C. I use a dedicated A/C machine so the job gets done properly.

Brakes

ASE certified in brakes. I'll tell you what's worn, what's fine, and what can wait.

Oil & Coolant Leaks

Found at the source and fixed before a small leak leaves you stuck on the side of the road.

Oil Changes & Maint.

I order the parts before you arrive, so the car turns around fast. If I see anything else, I'll tell you.

I also take on bigger jobs, like timing chains and engine or transmission swaps.

Drop It Off With Confidence

No surprise bill at pickup.

  1. 01

    The Diagnosis

$75 to find the real problem. If you go ahead with the repair, the $75 goes toward it.

  2. 02

    The Report

I send what I found and an itemized estimate, and tell you what can wait. Nothing gets repaired until you approve it.

  3. 03

    The Repair

I do the work myself and test-drive the car after. My labor is covered for about a year or 36,000 miles.

  4. 04

    The Hand-off

You pay when you pick the car up.

"I'll be the one touching your car."

At a bigger shop, you talk to one person while someone else works on your car. Here, everything goes through me.

The person you hand your keys to is the one who diagnoses it, fixes it and test-drives it. I've been working on cars for more than half my life, five of those years in a professional shop, and I'd rather find the actual problem than guess.

Yes sir, yes ma'am. It's just the right thing to do.

Common Questions

What people ask before they book.

What kinds of vehicles do you work on?

Cars and half-ton trucks, foreign or domestic. Hybrids are fine. I don't work on electric vehicles, diesels or exotic brands.

Do I need an appointment?

Booking ahead is the surer way to get a time, since I work alone and stay busy. Walk-ins are fine too.

Can I just drop my car off?

Yes, during shop hours. I'll look it over, send you what I found with an itemized estimate, and you pay when you pick it up. Need to drop it after hours? Text me first and I'll tell you where to leave the keys.

Do I get an estimate before you start?

Yes. I inspect the car and send you what I found, with photos where a photo can show it, and an itemized estimate. You approve each job on its own, through the estimate link or with a verbal OK. Nothing gets repaired until you do.

Do you charge a diagnostic fee?

Yes, $75. If you go ahead with the repair, the $75 goes toward it.

What's your labor rate?

You get the price up front. Simple maintenance, like oil changes, is billed at a lower rate than repair work. Either way, you see the full price on the estimate and approve it before I start.

How do I pay?

You pay when you pick up the car. I take cash and card, including tap to pay, and I can send a payment link if you'd rather pay online.

What warranty do you offer?

About a year or 36,000 miles on my labor. Parts carry their maker's warranty. Parts you bring in yourself and used parts aren't covered.

Do you use OEM or aftermarket parts?

Either. I can price the repair both ways and you choose. Once we've talked it through, I usually recommend aftermarket.

Do you have loaner cars?

No. I don't keep loaner cars or run a shuttle.

Ready to drop the keys?

Send me a request or give me a call. I'll find the problem and show you before I fix anything.
